About the Lounge

Gothic art deco, warmed by the turntable.

The Entity Lounge is a cozy hi-fi listening room on SE Hawthorne. It has the dark geometry of gothic art deco and the ease of a neighbourhood café. Settle into a couch, order something good and let the record take its time.

The Café

Open daily from late morning into early evening, with shareable plates and panini sandwiches for a long lunch or a slow afternoon.

Every night, a seated vinyl DJ set devoted to one style. It is made for real listening, not background noise.

Our four-point sound system was built by hand to fill the lounge evenly, so every couch gets the full record. The nightly sets are seated on purpose. Sit down, stay put and hear the pressing the way it was cut.
